We are STEEL Ridge Robotics!
As a Robotics Team at Ridgefield High School in our expanding town of Ridgefield, Washington, we strive to give students a memorable experience in the vast field of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). We compete in a yearly competition run by FIRST Robotics; brainstorming, designing, and engineering robots to participate in various events.

FRC 2019-2020

As you may know, COVID-19 has made a large impact on many events this year, and as a result FRC events have been heavily postponed. Despite these difficult obstacles, we have created our own game this year called "CHAIN REACTION". We are currently in the process of brainstorming solutions to this challenge. In addition, FIRST is holding optional At-Home challenges in which we will be competing in as well. More information on these is provided below.

SpudBot Academy

In summer of 2019, STEEL Ridge founded a one-week long camp for kids to get experience with STEAM and what we do as a robotics team. Throughout the course of the week, kids learned how to build miniature robots, program their mini robots to do tasks, design 3-D models using TinkerCAD, and work together as a team! Unfortunately because of the COVID-19 outbreak, we were not able to continue this camp in 2020. However, we do have hopes that we will be able to continue SpudBot Academy in the near future.
