Remarkably, within just 15 minutes of kicking off camp, all mBots were prepped and cleared for competition! This quick achievement reflected the campers' teamwork and hard work, illustrating their dedication and excitement for robotics.

Advancing Programming Skills for the Maze Trials

With their mBots set, campers shifted their focus to programming, bubbling with anticipation for the Maze Trials scheduled for the following day. Maneuvering their mBots through the maze promised excitement, but the true challenge lay in programming their robots to navigate autonomously.

During hands-on learning sessions, campers engaged in writing and refining code. For instance, one camper successfully implemented a simple program that allowed their mBot to navigate a complex turn in the maze, enhancing their skills while preparing for the challenges ahead.

A Fun Learning Experience: Scouting Matches

To deepen their understanding of robotics, the campers participated in lively scouting of FRC District Championship matches predicting winners of each match.

This led to hilarious moments as each camper made a prediction and we watched the matches together. Chants for their favorite alliance could be heard throughout the building. "Blue Alliance", "Red Alliance" bringing the energy of a FIRST Robotics Competition to SpudBot Academy.

This playful experience made learning the nuances of robotic competitions, bringing together the past 2 days of activities in an enjoyable and approachable, forming a solid foundation for Day 3: The Maze.
